Your new computer will come fully loaded with a state of the art "Linux" operating system called either "Ubuntu" or "Xubuntu"  These are very secure operating systems which attract considerably less  virus and malware issues than other operating systems in existence.

Your system will come with this user name and password:
       User name =  Shop
       Password =   Goodwill


Changing Your Password:

Although not necessary, upon receiving your computer you may want to add your own user name and password.
To do this, follow these steps:

• Click on the SYSTEM menu in the upper left corner of your screen.
• Select ADMINISTRATION
• Select USERS AND GROUPS
• Select UNLOCK on the window that has opened
• Enter current password......goodwill
• Select AUTHENTICATE
• Select ADD USER and you will see the screen shown below.

          (Note make sure you don't delete the root" account.  This is the core of your system)

• Next, in the ACCOUNT window shown below, enter the new user name and password you desire.
• In the same window, select the USER PRIVILEGES TAB.  Make sure ALL of the boxes are checked.

Your new user name and password are now created.
