What Curriculum do you use?
Good Shepherd Parish uses Harcourt's Call to Faith textbooks, which meet the United States Bishops Conference for being in conformity with the Catechism of the Catholic Church.

Parents are encouraged to participate and our text includes a component for parents. Please click here to go to the Call to Faith website for parents!

What Safe Environment standards are kept to protect the children?
All adults working with children (catechists, security guards, office personnel, assistants) are background screened and instructed on Safe Evironment procedures in accordance with Good Shepherd and Diocesan policy.

No person is admitted in the classroom who is not a registered student or a background screened adult.

Children are instructed in age-appropriate ways in certain grade levels the "No-Go-Tell" practice, and are instructed about their personal dignity and their right to have that dignity respected by everyone. Parents are sent notices home before this class is conducted and are encouraged to begin this conversation before the class is conducted in Faith Formation.

We also conduct a safety drill once a year so the children know the procedures in the event of earthquake or fire.
