Welcome to Candlelight Prayer

Candlelight Prayer provides an opportunity for quiet reflection designed to help attendees both relax and discover God's love and spirit in their own lives. It is designed around four key components:
  1. A peaceful atmosphere whereby attendees sit in darkness surrounded only by the glow of candles, free from the distractions of everyday life
  2. Heartfelt stories centered around a common theme, such as love, hope, or family
  3. Peaceful music, chosen to reflect that same common theme
  4. Prayers for Petition, where we pray for those in need, in particular those names submitted by attendees.
The idea originated from Assumption College where we were both undergrads and was brought to Good Shepherd Parish in December, 2009. It is held approximately once a month on Wednesdays at 7:00.
