Charlie Universe  is a composer and songwriter from Chicago. He works with fluctuating ensemble of  local musicians and heads "The Little Star Music Box."

 The 2007 production of I'm Worried My Body is Falling Apart  featured the Little Star Music Box and was his first composition for and collaboration with Lucid Street Theatre .The next collaborations would be at the 2008 Chicago summer festival Looptopia where he performed for  two Lucid Street productions; Up From the Earth  and  A Humechanical Nightmare.

 For Monster Girl   a similar approach to IWMBIFA is being taken. Performing the work as a soloist on vibraphones, percussion, vocals and sampler he blends musical loops, live manipulation and  elements of music concrete that contribute to a larger aural landscape that is not just music, but an atmosphere of  frightening and grotesque pictures for the audience.
