Yes, it's always this clean, though not always this bare.

• Top shelf: retarding bread dough, grapefruit juice against the scurvy, Champagne because you just never know
• Second shelf: wine in anticipation of my wife's visit
• Third shelf: bowl of apples, gallon of yogurt
• Bottom shelf: eggs, pork roast
• In the door: pickles from my neighbor, two mustards, barley malt syrup
• Drawers: bacon, cheeses, cabbages, parsnips, mushrooms, and five kinds of flour
• Freezer: akvavit, blueberries, bones saved for stock
• Not in the picture: beer.  I'm on the wagon, and cranky about it, damn it.
