We have prepared the Sikh history folders to supplement the Sikh Way of Life books and workbooks.To graduate, your child is required to memorize three Bani's - Japji Sahib, Rehraas Sahib and Kirtan Sohila Sahib. They are also required to be able to do the Ardaas and take the Hukamnama, by the end of 5th grade. The Sikh history class is a 45 minute block where we only get time to teach the child some simple meanings and articulation of Gurbani. Therefore, we need major help from you to memorize the path. Please pick a time of the day for instance, bath time or driving or when you are fixing their hair to recite path with the child. Whe they are young,this is the best time of their life to Kanth the Bani's. Once they start high school, it becomes extremly hard to find time. Here are GNCA Paath memorization goals for all classes.

Yes, it is hard! however, please remember, learning to read from the Gutka is not enough because in the hour of need, the Gutka may not be there but the Bani will always be with your child. Let us give this precious gift to our children.
In the end, your child will be part of the elite "High Five Guild" ; kids who have memorized all three Banis, Ardaas and can take the Hukamnama.
