COGGINS REMINDER

At all GC 4-H shows, negative coggins tests are good for two years.  If yours expires during the show season, you will need to provide a new copy.

Gold Clover Series

The Gloucester County 4-H Gold Clover Series is five open horse shows of exciting and competitive English and Western riding.  Year-end awards for participants and trainers (see prize list).  Shows are held at our 4-H Fairgounds located at 275 Bridgeton Pike, Mullica Hill, NJ. 
 
Pre-registration is encouraged - $3 discount per show for entries received electronically (must be sent two days prior to show date).  All registration fees and proof of negative coggins are due prior to showing in classes (show office opens at 7 a.m.).

To pre-register multiple horse/rider entries, email tsuydam@co.gloucester.nj.us with the following for each:
Rider names / Names of Horses/Ponies / Rider Ages as of Jan 1 / Date of Show / Class name(s) & number(s) 
    
Year-End Awards:

·   Show points for the series are accumulated by the number of exhibitors in a class and the placing. 

·   Accumulated points per horse/rider combination are used to determine the results for the annual awards banquet.

·   Exhibitors must participate in 3 out of 5 shows (per class) and stay in a particular division for the entire show series.

·   Year-end class prizes will be awarded for all classes that have 3 or more exhibitors that met the participation requirements.

           Show 1 - Sat, April 14
           Show 2 - Sat, June 16
          Show 3 - Sat, Sept 8
          Show 4 & 5 - Sat, Oct 20

Show Fees:

   Day Fee:    $30 per horse/rider

   Class Fee:  $7 per class (3 class limit)

   Stall Fee:   $5 per stall

   Camping Fee: $ 20 per night*     

                 *pre-registration required

  • Pony/VSE— grade 4 & over
  • Junior— grade 4 to 8
  • Senior— grade 9 to 13
  • Adult— 19 yrs & over
  • Walk/Trot— grade 4 to 6
  • Beginner Rider / Walk Trot Advanced—grade 4 & over
