I love to read!  Sometimes I listen to books on my morning commute, sometimes I curl up on the bed and read, sometimes I'm in a book that is so good that I read anywhere and everywhere I can.  This year I'm trying to rediscover some of the classics while also reading new novels.  I get a lot of good book recommendations from friends and family but also online.  My Shelfari friends sometimes pass on some good ideas as do my friends in my online book group.

See below for a peek at my Goodreads shelf.  This shelf shows what I've read so far in 2008.  You can visit my Goodreads site by clicking within the shelf and once there you can see what I'm currently reading and what's in my TBR pile.

There is no frigate like a book

By Emily Dickinson

There is no frigate like a book
To take us lands away,
Nor any coursers like a page
Of prancing poetry.
This traverse may the poorest take
Without oppress of toll;
How frugal is the chariot
That bears a human soul!To take us lands away,
Nor any coursers like a page
Of prancing poetry.
This traverse may the poorest take
Without oppress of toll;
How frugal is the chariot
That bears a human soul!
