What is a Global Session? A Global Session is a special form of English conversation class designed to help Japanese people to more actively express their opinions. There are no textbooks and no teachers. Instead, every month one native speaker, the guest, writes a one to two page article on a topic of their choice. Then, with the coordinator, a Japanese person in charge of that month's session, they discuss their article in English. Other participants can freely add their opinions or ask questions, or they can simply listen. Who can participate? Anyone is welcome to participate. If you are interested, please call the Kameoka Exchange Center at 0771-26-5001 (English OK) to get on the mailing list to receive the monthly article. How much does it cost? It is only 600 yen per Global Session. When is it? The date varies, but Global Sessions are held once a month from 10:30-12:00 on Saturdays. Please refer to the calendar below. Where is it? Global Sessions are held at the Kameoka Exchange Center. 15 Nagano Kozaki Miyazaki-cho Kameoka, Kyoto 621-0242 Please refer to the map below for directions. | Global Sessionとは？ Global Session講座は、講師も受講生もいません。いるのは、参加者だけです。その中に、担当しているコーディネーターとトピックスの資料を書いたゲスト（ネイティブスピーカー）がいます。毎回取り上げるトピックスは違います。 コーディネーターがゲストへ英語でトピックスの資料を下に問いかける会話から始まります。それに対して、ゲストは、言葉を選び、また、内容を考えながら、注意深く答えていきます。 その間、参加者は、何をしているのでしょうか。 参加者は、「何の話が進んでいるのか」とコーディネーターやゲストの顔や声や調子を見ながら内容を把握しようと試みています。通常の英会話の講座との大きな違いがあります。順番に話したり、当てられたり決してしません。安心して参加していられます。もし、話の内容を少しでもキャッチできて、自分の意見がある場合は、いつでも会話に入れます。その場合、早く話す必要も、たくさん話す必要もありません。聞くだけでもかまいません。 誰が参加できるの？ 誰でも英語力をレベルアップしたい人。参加希望の方はお申込み・お問い合わせは亀岡市交流活動センターへお願いします。 0771-26-5001 参加料は？ ￥600 いつなの？ 月によって日付が変わりますけど、毎月、一つの土曜日、10:30～12:00時に行います。下のカレンダーを見てください。 どこで？ 毎回亀岡市交流会館で行います。 621-0242 京都府亀岡市宮前町神前長野15 |
