Language Arts In reading, we are on a unit about imagination. Students have been learning about synonyms and antonyms, as well as root words, prefixes and suffixes. Math Students are learning about fractions. They are adding fractions with like denominators. We are still working on multiplication and division facts. Please work with your child to help increase automaticity with these facts. Science Currently students are learning about water conservation. They brainstormed ideas about how to save water because of the drought. Ask your child to share some of the ideas they came up with. Julia's mom taught a lesson about energy. Students learned about potential and kinetic energy. They got to work with flashlights, mirrors, and toys that move. Ask your child about what s/he learned. |
