Homework is given out every Monday and is to be returned on Fridays. Please make sure your child reads 20-30 minutes each night and practices math facts daily.

Vocabulary- pinniped: the animal family that includes seals, sea lions, and walruses

- blubber: a layer of fat between the skin and muscle of most marine mammals

- Spelling--Take a practice spelling test on lined paper. On the back, write any misspelled words. Parent signature needed on the test for a sticker.
- Vocabulary--Write a sentence using each vocabulary word on lined paper. The sentence should show that you understand the meaning of the words. Underline the vocabulary word.
- Math--Complete the math worksheets, study math facts and list in the math log.
- Poetry--Study the poem "May" and be prepared to present it in class on Tuesday, 5/26.
NOTE: Students who attend the Open House with their parents only need to take the practice spelling test for homework.
