Greenstone

I have recently been experimenting with a small block of greenstone (pounamu) given to me late in 2008.

My children have left home now and are exploring and creating their worlds. From one block I have created three pieces. One for each of us. That way we are connected from a base stone created here in New Zealand. The block I was given originates out of the Arahura Valley in the South Island. This is not far from Arthur's Pass where I spent much of my childhood exploring the rivers and climbing the peaks with my family. This is our connection.
