I was asked to produce a work for a couple who currently reside in New
Zealand but who will depart these shores in 2009. The brief was very
simple - a wall art piece in copper that held several very iconic themes
of New Zealand. After some initial discussions and drawings they opted
for the work below.
The New Zealand fern (silver fern) on
corrugated copper. Corrugated iron is used extensively throughout the
country on many farm and utility buidlings and now on many homes and has
been a main stay of roofing here for a century or more. The silver fern
is ubiquitous as a New Zealand icon. |

Late in 2009 I worked with
Mark and Ari to create a graphic for Mark's jazz album. It was a great
deal of fun and in one night Ari and I managed to put some very creative
stuff together. Mark being the music dude he is selected and worked on
the graphic below. It has been a great success.

In 2010
Mark was completing his Masters in Jazz. He wrote, produced and performed this album, In Song.
I was very pleased to be invited to do the art work for his second Ironic Trio album.
It has received critical acclaim in the local press reviews and I am sure will be a great success. You can hear his jazz music at Jazz Piano
