Two works created many years apart yet sharing a common theme.
The bronze casting I did while at teachers college in Palmerston North back in the early eighties with the help of Paul Dibble who was at that time a teacher in the art department. I had worked a little with this material at art school a few years earlier and really liked the 'lost wax' process.
In 2008 I met a practicing glass artist and was mentored by her producing the 'test' piece you see here. It strikes me now how related these two works are. Same or similar process, different medium.
