 End of the Year Events Here is the schedule of upcoming orchestra events: Wednesday after school rehearsals will continue in April and May. Spring Concerts are Thursday and Friday, May 10-11, at 7:00 p.m. in the auditorium. Tickets are $8 for one night and $12 for two nights. Thursday: String Orchestra Men's and Women's Choir Band Concert Choir Friday Men's Acapella Women's Ensemble Full Orchestra Madrigals Jazz Orchestra Awards - Monday May 14 details to follow. Graduation - May 29th at 4:00 p.m. Bus will leave from school and will return back to GHS about 6:00 p.m. Posted 12/8/11 The winter concert is next Thursday, December 15 at 7:00 p.m. Tickets are on sale now for $8. Students may purchase tickets from Mr. George. Students will wear orchestra uniforms. Posted 12/2/11 Concert Information Hello parents, Tickets for the winter concert are on sale now. Students may purchase tickets from Mr. George for $8 after orchestra class. Each student may buy 5 tickets now. After December 9th we open up ticket sales to anyone. This concert sells out, so get your tickets early. The winter concert is Thursday, December 15 at 7:00 pm. Orchestra students will need to report at 7:00 pm. Graduation Thursday, June 2, 2011 at 8:00 p.m. The bus leave GHS at 7:00. We will return at approx. 10:00 p.m. Adjudication Adjudication is Monday, March 28 at Marriotts Ridge High School. Bus leaves at 1:30, warm up is a t 2:00, performance is at 2:30 and sight reading is at 3:00. We will be back to school about 3:45. This is for strings only. Full orchestra will resume on Wednesday, April 6th. Please make sure that you have signed the permission slip! Trip The rooming list for the trip is posted in Mrs. Buckel's room. Students may sign up in groups of 4. Next Year Scheduling requests forms are due to guidance soon. Old Stuff Concert Video Taping We will video the concert on Tuesday, Dec. 14. This will be shown on the Howard County Cable Channel throughout the holiday season. Orchestra members need their uniforms that day. Concert Info Winter Concert, Wed. Dec. 15 at 7:00 p.m. Orchestra students report at 7:00. The orchestra opens up the second half of the show.
