FEDERATION OF GAY GAMES: For more than a quarter-century, these international athletic competitions have empowered tens of thousands of GLBT athletes through fellowship and friendly competition. GLAF: GAY & LESBIAN ATHLETICS FOUNDATION: Based in Cambridge, MA, GLAF is dedicated to the acceptance and visibility of GLBT men and women in the professional, amateur, and recreational athletics communities. GLISA: GAY AND LESBIAN INTERNATIONAL SPORT ASSOCIATION: Founded in 2004 and headquartered in St. Catharines, Ontario, Canada, GLISA is the sponsor of the International and Continental Outgames. GLTA: GAY & LESBIAN TENNIS ALLIANCE: This organization manages and sanctions the gay tennis circuit around the world. IGLA: INTERNATIONAL GAY AND LESBIAN AQUATICS: The mission of IGLA is to promote participation in aquatic sports among lesbians and gay men, as well as friends of the GLBT community. IGLFA: INTERNATIONAL GAY AND LESBIAN FOOTBALL ASSOCIATION: Through its worldwide network of soccer clubs, IGLFA works to foster self-respect among gay men and women worldwide. IGLGU: INTERNATIONAL GAY & LESBIAN GYMNASTICS UNION: The primary goal of this organization is to provide a safe environment for gay, lesbian, and bisexual gymnasts throughout the world. IGLSA: INTERNATIONAL GAY & LESBIAN SNOWSPORTS ASSOCIATION: An international membership-based club, IGLSA brings together GLBT snowsports enthusiasts of all ability levels. INTERNATIONAL GAY & LESBIAN FIELD HOCKEY FEDERATION: Also known as Pink Hockey, IGLFHF was founded to give every gay, lesbian, or bisexual field hockey players a chance to be him- or herself on and around the field hockey pitch. NAGAAA: NORTH AMERICAN GAY AMATEUR ATHLETIC ALLIANCE: Founded in 1977 to promote amateur athletics for the GLBT community, NAGAAA has a membership that includes 56 softball leagues in 35 cities throughout the United States and Canada. OUTBOARD: Founded more than a decade ago, this group sponsors what has become the largest gay and lesbian snowboarding event in the world.
