Glasgow Sinfonia

Registered Charity SC 001395

The Glasgow Sinfonia was formed in September 1986 by a group of friends who wanted to create a new and exciting entity in amateur orchestral terms. The philosophy of the Sinfonia is that enjoyment is derived by aiming for the highest possible standard of ensemble playing and to this end the orchestra is selective in its concert giving while at the same time building up a wide repertoire of works in rehearsal. We have recently begun a patronage scheme for those who would like to help support the orchestra. This valuable assistance is very gratefully received and in return patrons can take advantage of a number of benefits.

WE ARE PLANNING THREE TERMS OF REHEARSALS AND THREE CONCERTS BUT THESE ARE SUBJECT TO CHANGE.  WE HAVE WRITTEN A ROBUST HEALTH AND SAFETY PLAN  WHICH PROTECTS THE MEMBERS OF THE ORCHESTRA AND THE VENUE THAT WE USE.
