Announcements: 
  • Next Band Board meeting will be Wednesday, November 25th, 2009 in the Band Room. Check the discussion group for the minutes from our last meeting.

  • Students interested in playing an instrument in the pit orchestra for the 2010 spring musical, Fiddler on the Roof, should contact Mr. Lipinski ASAP. Head over to the Pit Orchestra page to see the current list of personnel. A rehearsal schedule will be posted once we have a more finalized ensemble.

  • Call time for the Holiday Band Concert for all Jazz Ensemble and Concert Band musicians is 6:30pm on Wednesday December 2nd, 2009. Please be on time!

  • If you owe money for supplies please get that in ASAP!

  • Private trombone lessons will be offered at GKHS!  Contact Mr. Lipinski if you are interested in studying privately.  Tuba and Euphonium/Baritone students are welcome as well.

  • Fingering charts for all instruments can be found on the Practice page of the site.

  • Please review your Band Handbook about attendance policies.  If you need another copy of the Handbook or the Event Calendar you can download them using the links below.

Sign up for the Band Discussion Group!

The GKHS Band discussion group allows members of the band program, as well as parents, to communicate with each other and with the director.  This allows for announcements to go out quickly to everyone signed up, and for the posting of documents and recordings for students to download.  All membership requests must be approved with your name displayed.  Please enter your email in the box on the left to get started! 

This discussion group is closely moderated and any content considered inappropriate will be subject to disciplinary action.  All rules outlined in the Genoa-Kingston High School Student Handbook are applicable for the online discussion group.  This is an educational resource provided for the students and parents of the Genoa-Kingston High School Band.  Please do your part to make sure we maintain this group as a fun and educational resource.
