Planning a Sustainable 2009 Rwanda Service Learning Experience

Collaborating Team explore different samples of bags for the Rwanda Service Learning Project.   Students and community members are invited to participate in this project to make school bags for children at the Gisimba Memorial Center in Rwanda.  About 200 children ages 2-22 live at the center. 

 Ames Middle, Ames High and Iowa State University students and teachers completed the first session of making school bags for the school going age children.  Lots of color, lots of cheer at the event!
