"You wanna get into shape? We'll help you". If there is a program that is simple and right to the point I personally recommend the ®P90X program. A home fitness program with little or no equipment needed, a sensible well thought-out nutrition guide designed by world renowned nutritionist Carrie Wiatt. I started this program in November 2008 weighing 219lbs at 5'11 with body fat at 26%, after 12 weeks (90 Days) I got to 188LBS with my body fat to 9% and I'm still keeping the workouts and being creative around the ®P90X model program. It's not a walk in the park but it is focus on lifestyle change. Why lead life on a fitness roller-coaster, always trying to be in shape for those special occasions, the trip to the beach this summer, that up coming wedding, reunions, the urge of getting into shape when you realize that the button on your jeans is just a little bit harder to close.
The program is not particularly designed for weight loss, rather turning your mediocre body into the physique that you always wanted. ®P90X works on strength, cardio, balance and flexibility. Even though there are modifications to cater to different levels of fitness, one would have to consider their current fitness level prior to starting this program. This is explained in the program manual and video, and it gives tools to measure your fitness level prior to start. As usual always consult with your doctor before beginning any exercise program, especially ®P90X.
I've added some videos of push up moves that I only dreamed of doing when I started, now it's part of my repitoire along with some other crazy routines that sets me apart from anyone in the gyms. I enjoy working out with unique moves that adds synergistics which keeps the body from reaching a plateau. For cardio I've added ®Insanity to my workout which in itself is insane! 'I hate it, but I love it'. Tony Horton, the designer/creator of ®P90X has become a fitness guru, virtuoso. He's been an inspiration for many around the continent with fitness seminars and group sessions.
