Girl Geek Coffees


Girl Geek Coffees (GGC) is a meet and greet open discussion group for women in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Multimedia and related disciplines. 

We aim to foster relationships, networking and mentoring over a relaxed cup of coffee (tea, chai, chocolate). The group may engage in forum discussions, faculty advice, and industry insights. The greatest emphasis is forming 'connection' and 'support' amongst females. 


Where: 

The initial pilot clubs will be held on campus:
  • Monash University
  • University of Wollongong
  • University of Auckland 
  • University of Waikatao 
Super-group chapters & on campus: 
In a central geographical location for: 
When: A number of times per semester. Please check the calendar! ;O)

Time: The 'Coffee Rush' morning or afternoon period. 

Who: Women in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Multimedia and related fields
(Supportive males can attend if they are accompanied by a girl)

Cost:
  • FREE Membership!
  • FREE Coffee! (tea, chai, chocolate etc.) 
  • FREEbies!
Spot prizes could include:
"Have you Bean Poded?" Each Bean Pod is about creating ongoing personal relationships. Further than meeting over coffee via the GGC, more direct networking is encouraged based on area of interest. Talk to your GGC chapter for more details.
