Okay this isn't my cartoon but I thought it was just great for this section.  So lets start.  First -- recipes may be given in 'parts', by volume not weight, so adjust your quantities for what you want as a final amount (you may need to make a few cups worth of tea blend). I also have measuring tools just for making teas so I don't cross contaminate ... plus its a magical thing.

So Lets Begin:

Clairvoyance Tea
1 part Mugwort
1 part Red Rose Petals (use only roses you know to be pesticide free; if using dried petals increase to 1 1/2 parts)
1 part cinnamon stick/chips (do not use ground it will not blend well and float on top of the tea)
1/2 part nutmeg (rough grind, again like the cinnamon the fine ground will float on top of the tea)
1/2 part bay leaf (I use dried, broken into small peices)

put all ingredients into plastic baggie and shake to blend.  Store in covered container (or baggie) and shake well before using ... this tea can be used one of two ways.
(1) brew 1 tsp. at 212*F for 5-10 minutes and drink it before practicing divination
(2) put into potpourri simmer pot as per pot directions, and breath in steam during readings.

Sinus Tea
I came up with this tea for my kids whom I do not wish to over medicate with decongestant.

1 part peppermint leaves
1 part spearmint leaves
1 part chamomile flowers
1/4 part rose hips (for the vitamin C)

Bring water to boil.  Take off heat and let stand until it is only 185*F. Put tea items into strainer basket for 2 cup teapot (I got mine from QVC, item #K6810 for under $12 and used the scoop that came with it for a 'part' measurement) and pour water over leaves slowly to prevent them floating out of basket.
Allow to steep for 5 minutes.  Sweeten with plenty of honey (to sooth the throat and cut the flem). I like to hold the first few sips in my mouth and breath thru my nose.  The sustained warmth in the mouth will help loosen the sinuses and breathing in will help draw the menthol from the mint into them to 'get things moving'.
NOTE:I tried to do this also with 1/2 tsp Stevia to naturally sweeten the tea and 1/4 tsp horehound for chest congestion, but the children truly disliked the taste and wouldn't drink it no matter how much honey I put in.

 Double Chocolate Cookies

from Crystal sugar package

1 3/4 C granulated sugar

1 C butter, softened

1 egg

1 tsp vanilla

2 C all-purpose flour

2/3 C unsweetened Cocoa powder

1 tsp baking soda

12-oz Chocolate Chips

1) Cream sugar & butter; beat in egg and vanilla.  Beat in flour, cocoa and baking soda on low speed; stir in chips.

2) Drop by rounded teaspoons 2inches apart on ungreased cookie sheet or one lined with silicon mat

3) bake 375*F for 8 - 11 minutes or until set.  Cool 1 minute, remove from cookie sheet.

Makes 3 dozen cookies

There now I won't loose this recipe before I can make up a few batches for Christmas - one for the family, one to give away, one to share with the Boy & Girl scouts.
