About Our Farm

We strive to develop a deeper connection with the land that feeds us.  We take an ecosystem approach to farming and treat all of our animals with respect and caring.  Manure is composted in a hot bed or in the worm bin along with kitchen scraps and coffee grinds from local coffe shops.  Garden weeds and spent vegetables are fed to the dairy goats, chickens, and rabbits adding a nutritional boost to their diets.  Wild birds are supplied with bird seed during the winter months: during the summer they aid in natural pest control of the vegetable garden.  Our chickens lay more nutritious eggs since we give them lots of veggie scraps.   All of this happens in our backyard on the half acre that we call home.  Land and time are precious.  Use yours, no matter how small, to help sustain yourself and your loved ones.  You will be suprised at how much you can do in a small space with a little time.
