Education can be found in many different places; however, we are planning Gethsemane Lutheran School (GLS) because we are convinced that the ways of the Lord are the best for our children, our families and our society. We desire to give parents and their children a quality educational option that has as its basis a Biblical world-view instead of a humanistic world-view that permeates our public education system.
God has given us direction as parents to “Train a child in the way he should go…” (Proverbs 22:6) and to “bring [children] up in the training and instruction of the Lord.” (Ephesians 6:4) God has given us as a group of Christians the directive to "Feed my lambs" (John 21:15) and to "Go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you." (Matthew 28:19) In the light of the conditions in our society and the commissions given by God to the church and to the parents, GLS will be established for this purpose: To assist parents in training their children in the ways of the Lord, the Word of the Lord and the work of the Lord.
