Gethsemane Lutheran School will be operated by Gethsemane Lutheran and Tree of Life Lutheran congregations in the Triangle area, both of which are  members of the Wisconsin Evangelical Lutheran Synod (WELS). This school will be one of more than 300 elementary schools (K-8) within the WELS. WELS has the 4th largest parochial school system in the United States. Approximately 30,000 children are enrolled in these schools which are staffed by over 1,000 dedicated teachers. The teachers in these schools, as well as in our school, have received their education degrees from Lutheran colleges, have been certified, or are being certified to teach in our Synod and are qualified to be certified by the state of North Carolina.
