Charter - IT Professional Mastery Series

The following is our current charter. This description is updated as empirical research uncovers insights regarding software developer skills transfer best practices, and other relevant technology or business strategy alignment related developments.

"Learning is all about connections, and through our connections with unique people, we are able to gain a true understanding of the world around us." Peter Senge, Chairman, Society of Organizational Learning

IT Professional Mastery Series is envisioned to enable:

  • A practical Return On Investment model that empowers IT organizations to engage in projects that are closely coupled to business objectives, and characterized by clear and measurable skills transfer tasks and other relevant human capital productivity-related metrics.
  • A core methodology and associated processes designed to facilitate IT skills transfer and retention via expertise location, peer-to-peer commercial networking and collaboration between individuals or clusters of "trustworthy" mentors.
  • An open de-facto international standard file format that would simplify the peer-to-peer exchange of relevant business contact and commercial IT subject matter expertise information.
  • A tiered web-based directory for the registration of XML schemas to establish and organically connect inter-linked learning partner "communities of interest" and associated "communities of practice."
  • An open source software Agent that's optimized for the task of posting, searching, retrieving, and exchanging "B2B Delineation" profile capsules that match common IT skill-related keywords, technology terms and software engineering process descriptors (utilizing domain-specific metadata, taxonomies and ontologies).
