Hello everyone, I am really exicted about getting to teach another group of our wonderful George West students.
Yes, I am still having the students be responsible for a binder. It really does improve their organizational skills dramatically from beginning to end of year and I feel it really helps them when hey go on to High School.
I am hoping to incorporate more art related activities for this year. I am ready to add some color to this room. In order to do everything I have planned we will need to have organization and the students desire to be respectful, organized and willing to learn. This will probably take until 4th week for me to know what we can do.
There will be projects due every six weeks as well.
Instruction will be over: European Exploration which will involve reasons for exploration, the European countries that were involved . We will be covering the geographic factors involved in colonization(be sure to get your map pencils).
We will then move on to English colonization and the reasons people leave their home country to go to another.
Next we will focus on what it was like in Colonial America.
Students should be taking thier binders home 2-3 days a week and studying.
