They may or may not be good routes to follow...You decide.

For each area, Sat shows satellite and/or aerial photos, Show labels shows roads, which include tramping tracks.   Click and drag the photo to pan it.   Zoom in or out with the control on the left.

For 3D views, you need Google Earth installed - select a "Download file..." link, then in Google Earth open this file and select layers Terrain and Roads, tilt to show in 3D, zoom and rotate.

Olivines - peaks and rugged routes onto the Ice Plateau

Aspiring and Routeburn - Haast to Wilkin and East Matukituki, Park Pass to The Divide

Darrans and Earl Mountains - Tutoko to Talbot and Pyramid

South Westland - Karangarua, Douglas, Lower Otoko Pass, Marks Flat

Huxley to Ahuriri - misty Broderick Pass to Mt Huxley, over the V Notch and devious deviations westward

Tongariro National Park - Ruapehu huts and landmarks

Ruahines - peaks, huts, a few random routes but not Colenso's elusive stone-lined well on Ngaroto

Tararuas historical - huts now gone, early tracks and a 16-day epic from 1933...
