Since founded in 1994, GeoBau-Controlling-GmbH is successfully present as service provider of non destructive testing in civil engineering.

Core competence is the pulse radar technique (GeoRadar, ground penetrating radar = GPR), being continuously optimised since the beginning (innovation project „GeoRadar-Road“ with the Thuringian Department of Trade and Industry) regarding high resolution network level data acquisition at traffic speed.

Due to powerful pulse generators, high resolution antennas, a “Peiseler^®-distance measuring instrument“, GPS plus the vehicle safety system the configuration of our measuring vehicle is state of the art.

With a digital video system installed since 2008, we are now able to perform radar survey and video inspection simultaneously.

More than 15000 measuring kilometres at roads of all classes achieved for several departments of road construction, operator und construction companies both at home and abroad rank us among the most experienced providers at the German market.

We share this expertise contributing to several joint research projects for the improvement of the efficiency of the pulse radars technique in road and bridge construction, together with the Federal Highway Research Institute (BASt), the Federal Institute for Materials Research and Testing (BAM) and the Universities of Hannover und Karlsruhe.

In excess of the pulse radar we offer partially together with cooperating partners the entire range of road condition survey (longitudinal and transversal evenness, road grip, FWD) and -assessment, reconstruction scheme design, or data administration with respect to pavement management.

Reflecting a large field of varying tasks and application ranges up to forensics, our references show that we feel “at home” besides the traffic ways just as well.
