This short film was based on a short story by Ray Bradbury called "A Sound of Thunder." We based the script and story on "A Sound of Thunder" but decided to go with a documentary style film, inspired by movies like "Cloverfield" and "Blair Witch Project." (With special thanks to "Back to the Future", without which, we would never have figured out how to make a time machine out of a car.) Filming the movie was fun but slightly difficult--since it's winter, there isn't much light to work with, as the sun sets by 4:30 now. So we decided that, after struggling with getting the entire thing shot in the day time and making it look like only a few minutes had passed, that we would instead shoot it at night. We also thought the darkness might help add to the effect we were trying to get across. Enjoy! |
