History of Gene Ray and Horses…..
Gene Ray has been riding and showing horses for over 20 years, first as a youth exhibitor and he continues as a professional. He attended Black Hawk East College in Illinois where he competed on the prestigious Horse Judging Team that earned a Reserve World Champion Team title.
Stewart has coached amateur and youth riders to multiple top ten finishes in many disciplines at the North American International Livestock Exposition, Palomino World Championship Show, American Ranch Horse World Show, Appaloosa World Show, the American Paint Horse Association World Show, Kentucky Classic, Summer Spectacular, Kentucky Futurity and Kentucky State Fair. Both Gene Ray and his clients have earned national top ten year-end honors with the Palomino Horse Breeders of America (PHBA), the American Ranch Horse Association (ARHA) and state year-end awards with the Kentucky Quarter Horse Association (KQHA). Gene Ray has served many times as a district director for the Kentucky Quarter Horse Association and a national director for the Bluegrass Palomino Horse Association to the PHBA. Currently he is the Co-Chair of PHBA’s Rules and Transfer Committee. Along with training he is a certified horse show judge for the Pinto Horse Association of America, Palomino Horse Breeders of America, American Ranch Horse Association, Kentucky Quarter Horse Association as well as a member of the AQHA Professional Horsemen’s Association. |
