"In the beginning, in the middle, and the end of everything is the image of a man with his animal around his waist. " A Medieval Monk in The Garden of Departed Cats. Bilge Karasu. Translation by Aron Aji.
I received my B.S. degree in Electrical and Electronics
Engineering from the Middle East Technical University, Ankara, Turkey
in 2000, M.S. and Ph.D. degree in Electrical Engineering: Systems from
the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor, Michigan in 2002 and 2006,
respectively. I received
Horace H. Rackham School of Graduate Studies Barbour Scholarship for fall 2004 and winter 2005. I joined the General Electric Global Research in Niskayuna, New York in August 2006. I started teaching control systems engineering class at the Department of Electrical, Computer, & Systems Engineering in Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute, Troy, NY in August 2010. My research interests are in monolithic and modular
(distributed) algorithms for fault isolation and detection and alarm management
in Discrete-Event Systems (DES) for mechanical and biological signals and systems.
