Perfectly carved atop his sweet head is a spectacular crown carved from yellow calcite. The yellow calcite is rich in color and highly lustrous. His shiny beak is agate. Agate is one of the hardest minerals on earth, this agate has been hand ground and deeply polished. The feet are solid gold plated. The deep amethyst base is from a source considered to be the best in the world. The base sits on top a pinewood base carved especially for this sculpture.
