View Google Maps in any browser, create custom maps, collaborate, share your maps with simple web links, and embed customized Google Maps websites. Teachers can: Create cross campus, cross country or even global projects using Google Maps' collaboration feature. Students can compare a wide variety of information about their communities such as how their weather is affected by the latitude and longitude of their community's location, or whether their community is near geographical features that might impact their weather. They could compare how parks and other public spaces look in different locations around the country and the world. What else could students learn by collaborating on map-based projects? A challenge: Have students use street view and my maps to create a story based upon the images captured in street view.
