An IHSA team, which competes in Individual Events at local and state levels. The Speech Team also strives to share a love of performance and public speaking with the school and community.

Goals of the GCMS Speech Team are:

·         To compete effectively in IHSA Speech competition

·         To improve individual public speaking and acting skills

·         To encourage participation in speaking and dramatic arts

·         To provide opportunities for students to entertain peers and the general public at school and public venues, assemblies, etc.

·         To provide an avenue for building team spirit and cooperation

·         To provide social and community-building activities for members
