Propst) Traveling exhibits "The Art of West Virginia Music" and "The Music of the Coalfields" appeared at the Landes Arts Center from January 7 through January 30. This event was presented with financial assistance from the West Virginia Division of Culture and History and the National Endowment for the Arts, with approval from the West Virginia Commission on the Arts. GCAC hosted Ostenaco on Tuesday evening, 7:30 p.m., October 28, 2008, at the Moomau Public Library on Mt. View Street in Petersburg. Community Sponsors were Charles, George, Ben and Tyler Halterman. Additional performances took place at all four elementary schools in Grant County and in the eighth grade at Petersburg Junior High as part of their West Virginia history studies. Sue Myers of the West Virginia University Greenhouse conducted a flower arranging workshop Saturday afternoon, September 6. The Flower Basker, local community sponsor, provided fresh flowers and greenery for the workshop. Enthusiastic participants took home one or more small bouquets and printed information on flower arranging and preservation.
