Sunday School
Our Children's Sunday school meets every Sunday morning during the 9:30 a.m. worship hour. This program plays an important part in transforming the hearts of children. During Sunday school, children grow in their knowledge of God's Word. This ministry allows teachers to assist parents in training up their child in the way that they should go. With a powerful worship time and thought provoking lessons, children learn what it means to have a relationship with Christ in classes that are geared for their particular age level. Below are the classes we offer to children at GCAC.

All children ages 4-4th grade meet in their individual classrooms then gather in the children's worship center for worship and prayer time. After that they break up into their individual classes for their Sunday school lessons. Tiny Tots (2's & 3's) and the 5th & 6th grade classes report directly to their classroom at the beginning of service.

Kid's Church
There are currently three Children’s Church programs serving ages 2 years through 6th grade. These classes run during the 11:15 a.m. service and focus on teaching children Biblical lessons and application through many Bible stories, videos, puppets, crafts, drama, music, and guest speakers.

Kid's Church Worship Center
Tiny Tots (2-3 year olds): This class continues to be under the Nursery umbrella. College students and nursery volunteers work with our Nursery Attendant to combine age-appropriate lessons with play and snack time making it a place that little ones feel safe and cared for. Here they are introduced to Biblical characters and stories.
Jr. Church (Age 4-Kindergarten): Using "Hands on" Bible Curriculum, these older pre-school children enjoy Bible stories, games and crafts each week, along with a powerful worship time. Through these activities they are able to grasp many of the Biblical themes presented in an age appropriate environment.
Kid’s Church (Grades 1-6): This large group worship service combines fun with learning, and provides a place for grade school children to learn about having a relationship with Jesus. Using powerful worship, relevant lessons, fun games and toybox tales, kids grow in their faith each week. This ministry also incorporates a powerful lesson focused on missions once every six weeks which enables the children to learn about reaching the lost and teaches them to pray for our missionaries. |
