Dear GBeCS Students, Families & Staff:

We are proud to announce our acceptance to participate in the President’s Volunteer Service Award program as a Certifying Organization.

This new Award is a Presidential honor that recognizes the valuable contributions of volunteers nationwide who are answering President George W. Bush’s call to serve others through their current volunteer activities or lifetime service. As a Certifying Organization, we will identify eligible recipients, verify their service hours, and distribute the Award to outstanding volunteers.

Today, we invite you to apply for this Award, if you meet the eligibility requirements outlined in the table below, by registering at http://www.presidentialserviceawards.gov/ and entering RMG-44453 as your Record of Service Key.  All GBeCS students, immediate family members and staff are eligible to record their hours for certification through our group. 

Given your ongoing service activities, many of you may already meet the requirements to receive the Award. To qualify, volunteers simply submit an online record of their service hours to GBeCS Parents Group and we verify the service and distribute the Award.   

For those volunteers who haven’t accumulated enough hours of service to be eligible for the Award, we encourage you to sign up for additional volunteer projects available through GBeCS or any non-profit organization. You can participate in these service projects by yourself, with family members, neighbors, or colleagues from work. 

Additionally, eligible volunteer service hours are not limited to those performed on behalf of GBeCS Parents Group. In fact, service hours can be accumulated through work on a variety of projects throughout the year. The only requirement is that the hours be completed within 12 months; recipients can qualify for a new Award each year. Our Award period is May 1-April 30 of each year.  All service hours must be submitted no later April 30th of each year in order to receive an Award.

SERVICE KEY RMG-44453 AS YOUR RECORD OF SERVICE KEY. 

THIS IS THE ONLY WAY THAT WE WILL BE ABLE TO SEE YOUR

HOURS IN ORDER TO CERTIFY THEM.
