Christ says to His church, "Go ye into all the world, and preach the Gospel to every creature." At Grace Baptist Church, we want to be a part of the Great Commission! We want to pray and to give and to go. Currently, we financially support five missionary families and we pray for many more. By God's grace, here's where we're involved:CAMBODIA
Missionaries Mike and Michelle Freeze, along with their four children, serve in Svey Rieng reaching the Khmer People with the Good News of the Gospel, discipling them, and planting an Independent Baptist church led by Khmer men. Mike grew up here in central Illinois and Michelle grew up in Pekin, attending Grace Baptist Church. The Freezes serve with Baptist Mid Mission.
JAPAN
Pat and Wanda Melton have serve faithfully in the nation of Japan since 1965. Their daughter, Megumi, attends a Christian University in America and their other children are grown. Sons Tim and Phil are second generation missionaries to the Japanese people. The Meltons lived in central Illinois for a time and serve with Evangelical Baptist Mission.
TOHONO O'ODHAM INDIANS
In south central Arizona you will find the Tohono O'odham, the Desert People, with a rich culture and heritage. You'll also find Stan and Jane Stringer and the work of Faith Baptist Church. Jane grew up in East Peoria, Illinois, while Stan hails from South Carolina. Together, they have impacted generations of Native Americans for the cause of Christ and serve with Faith Baptist Mission.
INUPIAQ PEOPLE
God called a couple of Pekinites north to the village of Selawik, Alaska, to tell of the love of Christ to the Inupiaq (Eskimo) People. Warren and Gayle Compton have seen a number of folks come to Christ and have begun Selawik Bible Baptist Church. The Comptons have two children at home, as well as two grown children and grandchildren. Warren and Gayle serve with Bible Baptist Church of Fairbanks, Alaska.
UNITED KINGDOM
John and Sara Anderson to London, England, are the newest addition to our Missionary Team. Although they have only been on the field a short time, God has blessed their labors through souls saved, Believers discipled, and Cornerstone Baptist Church being planted in the heart of the United Kingdom. John and Sara serve with Macedonia World Baptist Mission.
