Welcome Back  to a  New School Year......

Intelligence plus character that is the goal of true Education....

I've notice when children enters Middle School; it is very familiar for parents to believe participation is not needed on this level. However this is a crucial time at this age and stage of your child's life and education. Parent Involvement in the school and at home is important.

In meeting the needs of our community, parents and students, the goal of the Parent Coordinator are;

¨      To establish and maintain a warm comfortable environment.

¨      To develop fruitful partnerships with parents and provide an excellence instructive knowledge for all children.

¨      To encourage parents in the implementation of the different activities within the school.

¨      To formulate confidence to parents to enlist in the actives and take part of participation in gaining information and training in instructional and learning practices parent workshops.

As the Parent Coordinator my aspiration to increase the academic achievements, to build self- esteem and life opportunities of the under-performing children and families living in the low-income and urban communities.

To unselfishly offer our children the appropriate tools to become life long learners and industrious citizens of humanity. As an educator, it is a great pleasure for me to recognize student’s achievement growth because of hard work and perseverance.

“Our children are the Future!”

Parent Involvement

Parents, families and communities have a vital part to play in our new school system.  The Children First reforms recognize the essential role parents play in directing and supporting the educational achievement of their children. The Department has taken unprecedented steps to make schools a warmer welcoming environment to parents and to make it easier for parents to be meaningfully involved in their children’s education.

 We are a Mandatory Uniform School.

The uniform shirt is a khaki-colored collared polo shirt or T-shirt with the academy logo printed on the chest.  All students must wear black pants or knee-length skirts with black shoes.  On gym days, students must wear black sweatpants with black sneakers.

All District 12 Parents take this opportunity to join Community Education Council 12.

  Food For Thought

When you have forgiveness you are willing to forgive people when they do something that hurts or upsets you. You are also able to forgive your self.  You are willing to let go of any bad feelings you have toward others. Anger and haterd feel bad, but forgiving helps both you and the other person start feeling better about things. Forgiving does not mean the other person is right and you are wrong. It means that you are choosing to be peaceful and let it go.
