5 Years Running

Where one NaNo lovin' writer keeps track of the word count

National Novel Writers Month:

A time for a bunch of caffiene-addict, writing fiends to get together and create first drafts of novels that may go nowhere.

And boy is it fun.

I've been part of NaNoWriMo since 2003. I've hit the 50,000 benchmark four times (2003, 2004, 2005, 2006), and I burned out hard in 2007.  I still love NaNo, and I'm halfway to convincing myself to jump on the wagon for 2008.

My novels are disjointed, contain spelling mistakes, and can veer off into uncharted territory. But I wouldn't change one word from any of them for anything in the world.

And what can you expect to find in my novels that may offend you? Any of the following:

*Cursing, and lots of it.

*Smoking, but only in a couple.

*Cursing, and lots of it.

*Homosexuality, varying degrees.

*Bisexuality, varying degrees.

*Cursing, and lots of it.

If you're not running scared yet, then kick back, relax, and welcome to the NaNo zone.

And yes, the tat is real.
