![]() The General Anthony Wayne Society, Children of the American Revolution is located in Ardmore, Pennsylvania. It is a local Pennsylvania society of a national,
patriotic, youth organization composed of individuals under the age
of 22 who are lineally descended from a participant in the American
Revolution (1775-1783). Purposes of the Society are to acquire
knowledge of American history, promote the celebration of patriotic
anniversaries, preserve and restore places of historical importance
associated with veterans of the American Revolution, ascertain the
deeds and honor the memories of those who rendered service to the
Revolution, and honor and cherish the American flag. The organization
has a dual hierarchical structure that includes youth officers and
corresponding adult "senior" officers.
As set forth in the Bylaws of the National Society, the General Anthony Wayne Society has six principal ![]() 1. To acquire knowledge of American History. 2. To preserve and restore places of Historical importance associated with men and women who forwarded American Independence. 3. To ascertain the deeds and honor the memories of the men, women and children who rendered service to the cause of the American Revolution. 4. To promote the celebration of patriotic anniversaries. 5. To honor and cherish the Flag of the United States of America above every other flag. 6.
