| I've just ordered the 3600mAh extended battery from http://shop.eten.hu/. It's adding a bulk to the device with an included extended battery door in silver, but sometimes double power can come in handy, especially when using the GPS heavily. I don't know the shop, so I'm taking a chance here, but since I couldn't find it anywhere else so I'm hoping for the best. I'm also assuming it'll get stuck in our fine Norwegian customs for a week before I get it, but if everything works out, I'll be having a sweet motherload of power for my summer vacation. I'll be updating this page when/if I get the battery to say how it preforms.
Update 18/6: I got a mail today stating that they where out of stock and expect to receive new shipment soon :-( Update 26/6: I got this today: Regarding the extended battery for Eten X800, our engineer found that
the device of Eten X800 cannot recognize our extended battery. Therefore the capacity display abnormally. We are still studying this
issue and regret that we haven't the time frame for you at this
moment. That's it for me... I cancelled the order, but asked if they can deliver the 1800mAh battery (same physical size as the original 1530mAh) and a twin dockingstation. I haven't recieved a reply yet. Update 27/6: Got a new mail today: Your order was changed as per your email and you've been refunded $11.05 to match the new total. And I've also recieved a refund from PayPal. Looks promising! Update 2/7: New mail: Your order was shipped today. It's on it's way :-) Update 7/7: The charger arrived today. It's pretty cool. The battery is delivered seperately, and should arrive in a weeks time. Update 26/7: I picked up the 1800mAh battery today. I've been on vacation, so I'm not sure when exactly it arrived. Testing it now, looks promising, it was at 60% power straight out of the box. |
