Applications

I'm an application junkie! I love to explore new tools and third party applications, here are some applications that I think fit the X800 perfectly.

Resco Keyboard Pro (commercial)
It’s a skinnable soft-keyboard for Windows Mobile devices with touch-screen. Personally I’m only interested in it because of the iSkin. It’s a skin with big touchable keys that you can easily use with your thumbs. It even works great in landscape mode and has a nice calculator function.

Salling Clicker (commercial)
Salling Clicker is lets you control popular applications from a mobile phone or handheld computer through a user interface similar to a portable media player. You can control Keynote, PowerPoint, iTunes, Frontrow, Quicktime, VLC, Windows Media Player, WinAmp and more with your phone through Bluetooth or WiFi.

MemMaid (commercial)
MemMaid is a tool that scans and detects all the files and registry entries that consume your memory and removes them. It can also do some system tweaks like moving cache files to memory card, and schedule optimalization at night, etc. This tool saves you from a lot of soft resets, and gives you a faster device, well worth it's money!

Resco Pocket Radio (commercial)
Resco Pocket Radio is a player and recorder that provides endless streaming radio broadcasting. It has a predefined list of radio stations and you can import m3u files or add URL's manually.

Google Maps (freeware)
Google Maps is an excellent map application that give you routes, sattelite pictures and searches for points of interest. It’s also capable of connecting to a GPS receiver if you have one, like the one in Glofiish X800... But be aware: Maps are downloaded as you go, so your phone bill may hurt!

PocketXpdf (freeware)

PocketXpdf is a no-frills viewer for native PDF files. The rendering engine is a port of Xpdf. It swollows just about 1MB of your storage, and is a bit slow rendering pages when you zoom, but it got all the features I want, zoom, fullscreen and finger-friendly navigation, and is a lot better than Adobe's own viewer.

Total Commander (freeware)
Total Commander is a popular file manager for Windows. For Windows Mobile it’s somewhat limited compaired to it’s commercial big brother, but the good news is it’s absolutely free. You can also use Total Commander to connect to SMB and FTP server. And use it as a registry browser/editor.
