The West Rand District is holding a Pioneering Skills Training course on Sunday the 29^th January 2012 at Gilwell, Hamburg Road, Florida.  The training course is open to all Scouts and Scouters from Gauteng.  Although the course is aimed at Scouts, Scouters that wish to learn the skills are welcome.

Ken Stanton has put together the attached training programme and will be running the course.

We require Scouters to assist with training.  Please let me know beforehand if you can assist.

The aim of the day is to revise the Scoutcraft knots, then teach the skills and theory required to complete the interest badge.  After this training the Scout should have the knowledge to complete the badge with the Troop Scouter.
