FAQ

Why is Brain Gym International's conference registration fee less than in past years?

Past conference fees covered the venue along with snacks, speaker fees, technology rental, presentation supplies, etc. This year the conference is being held at a full service facility and the venue fee is included in each person's complete meeting package (or day meeting package for local attendees). As such the conference fee is less than in the past to balance out the potential increase in lodging/meals.

Do I have to stay at the Warren Center?  It looks so expensive.

You do not have to stay on site.  However, if staying somewhere else, remember that you must still register with and pay the WCCI a day rate of $105+ taxes/fees.  Although it looks expensive to stay on site, we've put together a comparison of what it would cost to stay offsite:

 WCCI   Other Hotel
Accommodations (double occupancy, 5 nights) $1010$500+
 BGI Registration$225 $225
 Transportation
 $55
(round-trip shuttle)
$175
(Car Rental)
Meals, snacks, water included $150
WCCI Registration day rate  included$420+ taxes/fees
 TOTAL$1290 $1465

What else can you tell me about the Warren Center?

A few of the conference committee members had the opportunity to visit the Warren Center and have lunch there.  The site exceeded our expectations in such a way that we find it difficult to put into words.  This setting is the PERFECT Edu-K setting.  It's 200 acres embodies a feeling of going back to nature, integration, peacefulness, balance, and more!  The food is delicious and the staff gives the impression that their only desire is to serve and make one's stay delightful.

Why is the complete meeting package so much per day?

The Complete Meeting Package (CMP) includes the venue fee for the conference plus lodging, three chef-prepared meals, unlimited snacks and beverages, and use of the recreational amenities. The conference fee with BGI is significantly reduced compared to past years in order to account for this.

Why do I have to pay the Warren Center if I’m commuting?

The venue costs are paid for individually, rather than through Brain Gym International's registration fee.  Therefore, those staying offsite or commuting are covering their portion of the venue costs.  Brain Gym International has accounted for this by lowering its portion of the conference fee.  The Day Meeting Package (DMP) includes the conference space, two meals per day, unlimited snacks and beverages, and access to the 200 acre grounds of the beautiful location.

Can I just attend a keynote?

Yes, there is an option to just attend a two hour keynote for $50; one does not need to register separately through WCCI to attend a two hour keynote. Register at the bottom of our our Keynote Speaker page.

Are there vegetarian options?

Yes, the chef prepares a variety of entrees for each meal. Fresh fruits and vegetables abound, along with cold and hot entrees. There are vegetarian options available.

Can I choose with whom to room?

Certainly, you can choose to register with others. The cabins have 8 in a room. The rooms at the Inn have 1 or 2 beds each and sleep between 1 and 4 people.  Although finding roommates is up to each individual, we have created a Facebook page where you can network with other attendees about room sharing.

How can I assist?

1) Volunteering: If you're interested in volunteer opportunities during the conference, please contact Kathy Monahan, our Conference Co-chair, at joeandkathy@charter.net.

2) Getting the Word Out: Help market the conference for us by downloading one of the attached fliers and passing them out in your courses or at your work place. We've included two versions; one that uses more ink (BGI Conf Flier 1.pdf), and one that uses less (BGI Conf Flier 2.pdf).  THANKS for your assistance!
