The Gates Cambridge Scholarship

In October 2000, the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation announced a donation to the University of Cambridge to establish the Gates Cambridge Scholarship.  Selection of Gates Scholars is driven by the values of the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, which include a commitment to reducing inequities and improving lives around the world.

The Gates Community aims to build a global and diverse network of socially conscious individuals  by promoting cooperation, collaboration and opportunity in accordance with the goals of the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation and the University of Cambridge.

The Gates Virtual Coffeehouse is founded and organized by the Gates Cambridge Scholars' Society.  With 700 members in over 80 countries, the Gates Society aims to build a global and diverse network of socially conscious individuals  by promoting cooperation, collaboration and opportunity in accordance with the goals of the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation and the University of Cambridge.
