Surveymonkey is an online tool for creating surveys. It offers a free account with some limitations as well as pay accounts. Within SurveyMonkey, you can create a survey using over a dozen types of questions by simply typing in the burning questions requiring a response. Most types of questions will fit into those that it offers including multiple choice, item ranking, and comment boxes.
Once the test is create, Surveymonkey will provide several ways to distribute the survey. It will create a link to the webpage you have created in finalizing your survey. This can be posted to a website, emailed, or manually entered. A number of restrictions can be placed on the survey such as a closing date complete with a message to notify those trying to access the link after the survey has stopped collecting data.
As the survey collects data and after it closes, Surveymonkey provides the data from the survey in the form of individual questionnaires and a report displaying the number of responses for each choice overall along with any comments.
