Mixbook, like VoiceThread, is a completely web-based way to create a digital story. Unlike VoiceThread, Mixbook uses only images and text, and your finished product looks just like an acutaly book. With Mixbook, the author chooses backgrounds, themes, and page layouts. Page layouts can have anywhere from 0-21 pictures.
Once a Mixbook is finished, it can be shared by using a link from the Mixbook site or embedded on any website. Mixbooks are free to make and share on the web. Something neat about Mixbook is that if you want a hard copy of your finished product, you can order one in either soft or hardback!
Signing up for a Mixbook account is free. Once you have signed up and start creating your book, there are several privacy options to choose from. You can choose to let everyone see your book, let only your Mixbook "friends" see your book, or allow only people you send invitations to access to see your book. |
