" There is no such thing as too many
parents involved in a school."
- Parent volunteers directly lower tuition! It allows us to reduce the number of paid hours required to produce special events. Low parent involvement can even mean the canceling of events and special projects!
- Model first hand the importance of getting in there and getting your hands dirty for your children. Roll up those sleeves and let them watch you really make a difference! There is nothing like an immediate role model to teach a child character development. Model the kind of parent that you wish for your child to become.
- Parent involvement really is one of the charms of attending a private school. The families get to know each other and form relationships through their volunteer efforts together for one common goal - improving the school and the quality of their children's education. Building a strong school community, bonding, and extending the sense of family all benefit when you become involved.
- Studies show that high parental involvement increases test scores, reduces student apathy, etc.., etc.. (see link at the National PTA website)
- Get involved just because we'd love to have you join us! We all love the sense of family here at Garr. Won't you join us?
"Ok, you've talked me into it. Now what do I do?"
